About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the STRL DP-04 Pay Band or equivalent GS Grade Level (GS-12/13) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: 1) Demonstrating advanced working knowledge of systems engineering of major aviation systems and associated software/hardware components; 2) Overseeing technical design, definition, and integration of a complex system with several major subcomponents such as propulsion, airframe, guidance, control, ordnance, fusing, avionics, software, computers, and interfaces; 3) Serving as a technical leader in the system simulation, requirement, and performance specification assessment of technical risk, and analysis of test and evaluation results for assigned aviation systems; 4) Coordinating the integration of aviation system performance requirements generated by operational and threat analysis into hardware and software; 5) Formulating project-planning objectives for aviation system engineering development of current and long range programs/projects; 6) Maintaining continuous contact with personnel and program stakeholders in order to be informed on new aviation system engineering and scientific developments; and 7) Organizing and performing technical reviews to ensure adequate resources for assigned aviation systems.
