HR & Systems Administrator
About this role
We're currently hiring for an HR & Systems Coordinator to join the Edelweiss Software Group! About Us: Edelweiss Software Group is an operating group of Valsoft Corporation that acquires and grows mission-critical vertical market software companies. With a long-term, buy-and-hold approach, Edelweiss provides its businesses with the strategic guidance, investment, and operational resources they need to thrive—while preserving the unique brands, cultures, and customer relationships that make them successful.
Our teams combine the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of specialized software companies with the strength and stability of a global organization. About The Role: Join Edelweiss Group as our HR & Systems Coordinator, a role supporting HR across the Group as a whole. You will act as the primary owner and point of contact for our HRIS, while providing hands-on support for HR integrations as new businesses join the Group — from HRIS onboarding of new entities to policy rollout — and serving as a day-to-day generalist resource wherever the Group needs it.
You'll also help identify and build simple automations, including AI-assisted ones, that make integrations and everyday HR administration faster and less manual. Because the Group's mix of entities, jurisdictions, and priorities is always shifting, this role calls for someone genuinely curious and comfortable adapting to an ever-changing environment, rather than someone looking for a fixed, narrowly scoped routine. The successful candidate will be based in Montreal, participating in a hybrid setting that combines remote work and in-office presence at our location in Saint-Laurent.
What You'll Be Doing: HRIS Integrations Support Support the Group HR Lead in integrating newly acquired businesses into Edelweiss Group’s systems including uploading and maintaining accuracy of employee information on HRIS, ensuring data integrity during integrations across employee profiles, files, and documentation. Facilitate live learning sessions centered around training of new and existing systems for newly integrated teams.
System Support & AI Automation Own and maintain a deep working knowledge of the HRIS platform's capabilities, features, structure, system upkeep, and workflow logic to troubleshoot issues, support end users, and guide configuration decisions. Identify opportunities to automate repetitive HR administrative and integration tasks using AI tools and HRIS workflow features (e.g., communications, data validation). Build and maintain simple automations — using AI-assisted tools, Excel formulas/macros, or HRIS workflow builders — to reduce manual data entry and reporting effort.
HR & Administrative Support Support in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs to improve employee experience across the Group's portfolio companies. Support employees across the Group's portfolio companies on day-to-day HR questions — policies, leave, and general processes — escalating more complex matters as needed. Provide general administrative support wherever priorities shift across the Group, including compliance, recruitment, onboarding & offboarding and ad hoc projects.
What You Bring: College or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience considered). 2+ years of HR administration and coordination; experience with HRIS systems. Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new, unfamiliar, or shifting situations — this role's mix of entities, jurisdictions, and priorities is always changing. Comfort with, or strong interest in, HRIS systems (e.g.
BambooHR) and general HR technology. Genuine curiosity about and comfort using AI tools to support day-to-day productivity and process improvement. Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office environment, particularly Excel. Technical background, with ability to learn and adapt new technologies & systems. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities across integration projects and daily HR support.
Continuous learning attitude and strong relationship-building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good presentation skills. Bilingualism (English/French). Pluses: Exposure to HR integrations in an M&A environment. Experience in data analysis. Experience with multi-country labor laws and compliance. Why Is This Job Important? As our HR Coordinator, Integrations, you play a central role in how smoothly newly acquired businesses join Edelweiss Group, while also being available to support HR needs across the portfolio wherever they come up.
Your adaptability keeps both integrations and day-to-day HR operations running smoothly even as priorities shift, and your curiosity about AI and automation helps the Group continuously work smarter. Your contributions directly impact employee experience and the overall success of Edelweiss Group. For more information about Edelweiss Group, please reach out to your recruiting contact. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
