About this role

This is a TERM position NOT TO EXCEED 31 December 2028. (Term Appointments must exceed 12 months to meet the definition of TERM). In accordance with DODI 1400.25 Vol 2005, dtd 3/3/12, the individual selected for this position may be extended or made permanent without further competition. This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the "Technician/Administrative Support" work category are at the "Entry Development" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level.

The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.

Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of civilian personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, etc. to understand respective programs and services provided. Knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, and software employed in order to make reports, correspondence, and extract data from these systems. Must possess ability to analyze/date products to determine adequacy of programs and/or deficiencies.

Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private Sector, or experience gained in another government agency. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed one year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resource Administration. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1.

Knowledge of civilian personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, and publications. 2. Knowledge of ACC/A1-OL organization and its mission. 3. Comprehensive knowledge of automated systems, personal computers, and software. 4. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of individuals, orally and in writing. 5. Ability to understand and provide standard program guidance, advice, and references to customers.

6. Ability to apply analytical methods and techniques of various aspects to assigned area. Ability to plan, coordinate work and meet deadlines. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
