About this role

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.

Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Led nationwide compensation, benefits, payroll, and incentive programs, ensuring they followed federal laws, OPM rules, and DOJ policies. Managed pay-setting operations, including special salary rates, SCD determinations, pay statutes, and pay accuracy reviews across all Bureau locations. Directed Bureau-wide administration of federal benefits such as FEHB, FEGLI, FEDVIP, retirement guidance, military buybacks, and TSP support.

Oversaw national awards and incentives programs, including recruitment/retention incentives, relocation incentives, superior qualifications appointments, and performance-based recognition. Guided national payroll and leave programs, including payroll audits, time and attendance systems, telework and compressed schedules, and compliance with federal leave rules. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
