About this role

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-11, in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

To qualify for this GS-201-12, applicants must meet all of the following examples of specialized experience: Experience conducting research to determine the correct nature of action and the corresponding Nature of Action Code (NOAC), and Legal Authority Code(s) (LAC) from the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA) to process a variety of federal personnel actions using interconnected HR and payroll systems. Experience processing personnel actions in automated HR and payroll systems and verifying all data fields such as tenure, service computation dates, within-grade increase due dates, and probationary periods are accurate and compliant with applicable regulations.

Experience reviewing and analyzing Federal personnel action history to identify discrepancies and take appropriate steps to resolve and update the record using interconnected HR and payroll systems. Experience applying federal pay setting regulations to set pay on a wide variety of federal personnel actions to include accessions, promotions, change to lower grades and changes in pay between pay plans.
