Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience for GS-10: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Making initial evaluations of design problems to determine the optimum solution; 2) Utilizing automation tools to facilitate plan/project development and coordination; AND 3) Preparing documents, charts, and reports related to industrial operations.

Specialized Experience for GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Participating on projects that analyze data and suggest improvements to industrial operations; 2) Utilizing automation tools to facilitate plan/project development and coordination of major shop organizational elements; 3) Assisting leaders and supervision in solving short and long range production and facilities problems; AND 4) Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish the organizational mission.
