INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
About this role
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service as listed below. Understanding how information moves from creation to use to retention to disposition for Records Lifecycle Knowledge. Familiar with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and Department of Defense (DoD) record compliance guidelines and policies.
Experience with DoD governance structures (DoDI 5015; collaboration environments-SharePoint, Teams). Knowledge of NIPR/SIPR/Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWIC) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) product management). Skilled in navigating, organizing and governing content within SharePoint libraries, permissions, views and collaboration tools (SharePoint Information Management). Ability to prepare, validate and structure content for ingestion into electronic repositories (Migration Readiness).
Ability to interpret policy, convey technical requirements and guide Joint Staff members through the Records and Information Management process. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
