Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Four year college degree in English, Journalism or Marketing and/or four years experience in the field of marketing/PR is required. Requires solid experience and working knowledge of the marketing field, web graphic/development and online media. Knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation. Professional knowledge of news writing and/or journalism. Familiarity with photo/video cameras (digital and standard) required.
Understand prioritization in a rapidly changing work environment. Possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Ability to operate computers, laptops, tablets, and other basic office equipment. Experience with Adobe software: Photoshop, Page maker, InDesign and Illustrator' are required. Current Driver's license required. Subject to a satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check.
