About this role

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Identifying and assessing threats to an organization; AND Developing reports and assessments; AND Briefing and advising leadership on a range of issues; AND Collaborating on projects with cross-functional teams or organizations; AND Representing teams or organizations in meetings and other forums.

Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in ALL of the following: Independently researching, interpreting, and analyzing information from multiple sources; AND Composing reports, assessments, studies, or presentations; AND Coordinating on projects with cross-functional teams or organizations; AND Representing teams or organizations in meetings.

Specialized experience for the GS-11: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as ALL of the following: Researching, interpreting, and analyzing information from multiple sources; AND Composing reports, assessments, studies, or presentations; AND Participating in or contributing to meetings and other forums.

OR You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. OR You may qualify by a combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 36 semester hours (54 quarter hours) may be combined to be considered for qualifying education.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé. (*Note: If you are qualifying using education and you are within 9 months of graduating you may tentatively qualify.

However, you must graduate and/or meet all qualification requirements prior to being appointed to the position.)
