About this role

In addition to the Basic Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Applying advanced engineering principles to aircraft turbine engines to evaluate design concepts, identify failure modes, and assess technical risks throughout the system lifecycle; 2) Conducting complex risk, statistical, and fatigue life analyses utilizing state-of-the-art modeling and simulation tools to predict component reliability and enhance fleet safety; 3) Managing complex engineering projects, including developing cost estimates, determining manpower requirements, controlling budgets, and formulating long-range schedules from conception to completion; 4) Leading multi-disciplinary teams and technical workgroups by mentoring junior personnel, directing daily work efforts, and establishing standard operating procedures; 5) Executing Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects to advance modeling capabilities, integrate new technologies, and verify contractor proposals; and 6) Overseeing resource and financial management processes to align organizational priorities with strategic goals and coordinate risk progress reviews with senior leadership.
