INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER
About this role
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience as a Professional Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineer, and/or an Aerospace Engineer equivalent to the STRL DP-03 Pay Band or equivalent GS Grade Level (GS-09/11) in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience for this position include: 1) Providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues to ensure aviation system engineering requirements are met; 2) Developing project-planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs; 3) Demonstrating working knowledge of digital and analog communication systems such as radios, amplifiers, antennas, and filters; 4) Performing and directing technical analyses required during the development phase; 5) Participating in the preparation, planning, and development of integrated logistics support plans for assigned aviation systems; 6) Maintaining continuous contact with research and development personnel in order to be informed on all new engineering and scientific developments of assigned aviation systems; and 7) Organizing and performing technical reviews to ensure adequate resources for assigned aviation systems.
