Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify at the GS-09 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service that includes working in an international development, business, or finance environment: (1) reviewing corporate financial statements and producing and presenting financial analysis to support financial decisions; AND (2) conducting research and preparing written assessments on economic and market factors in the evaluation of commercial financial transactions in international markets.

OR B. A master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position; OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements: A.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service that includes working in an international development, business, or finance environment: (1) reviewing corporate financial statements and producing and presenting financial analysis to support financial decisions; (2) building or analyzing corporate financial projection models and calculating financial ratios; AND (3) conducting research and preparing written assessments on economic and market factors in the evaluation of commercial financial transactions in international markets.

OR B. A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position; OR C. A combination of education and experience as listed above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
