About this role

You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Skill in applying modern IT concepts, principles, methodologies, frameworks, and practices in system analysis, systems development, software engineering, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, network engineering, cybersecurity-informed engineering, DevSecOps, and automation sufficient to identify technical risks.

Experience assessing technical design to recommend improvements in one or more areas such as cloud architecture, enterprise infrastructure, network connectivity and routing and segmentation. Experience evaluating AI/ML and emerging technology concepts to determine data dependencies and assess risk. Experience preparing technical recommendations and communicating technical concepts to senior leaders and stakeholders. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
