As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the identity, access and automation layer that more than 550 people at Epidemic Sound rely on every day. Your role will be to build the integration services, automations and infrastructure as code that connect Okta, the HR systems and the wider SaaS estate to each other, rather than administering each platform on its own. You will join IT Engineering, working alongside the wider IT team, and partnering closely with Enterprise Security so that access, provisioning and platform configuration hold up as the company grows.
The team builds and enhances its platforms rather than only administering them, so Terraform, n8n, Okta Workflows and enterprise AI tooling including Claude are part of the work every week, alongside Okta, Google Workspace, Atlassian, Kandji and Cisco Meraki. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE - Design, implement and maintain identity and access management in Okta, including access policies, multi-factor authentication and single sign-on.
- Build integration services and backend APIs that connect Okta, HR systems, mobile device management and ticketing platforms. - Develop infrastructure as code in Terraform to provision infrastructure and manage SaaS configuration. - Build event-driven and scheduled synchronisation so data stays consistent between systems, such as HR into identity and access management. - Own core SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Atlassian and Cisco Meraki, including licensing, procurement and escalated end-user cases.
- Partner with Enterprise Security to keep access and platform configurations aligned with compliance standards, and document what gets built. REQUIREMENTS - Strong background in identity and access management, covering access control, user provisioning and single sign-on, with hands-on experience in Okta. - Experience in building integrations and automations between platforms, using APIs and scripting in Python, Go, PowerShell or Bash.
- An AI-native approach to the work, using enterprise AI and workflow tooling such as Claude to build and support internal systems, with judgement about what is worth automating and what is better kept manual. - Experience in enterprise SaaS application administration, including licensing management and procurement. - Excellent communication skills, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - It would also be music to our ears if you have experience with infrastructure as code tooling, device management platforms, networking fundamentals such as firewalls and VPNs, or a professional certification in a core workspace platform.
