About this role

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:Experience performing IT work that involves planning, leading, or developing assignments, and directing or leading administrative and technical IT projects and programs in order to support technologies, operations, applications, and activities within the Branch.

For the GS-13, examples of such experience could include: - Experience leading a team for IT related projects OR - Experience in the technical planning, engineering, deployment, and support of IT systems; OR - Experience as an administrator of IT systems or devices such as networking devices, servers, DNS (Domain Names System), MTA (Mail Transfer Agent), and Proxy Service; OR - Providing liaison, recommendations and technical information between an organization and customers In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must meet proficiency levels in each of the following IT competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Decision Making, Information Management, Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Problem Solving, Teamwork, Technical Competence A Work Sample will be used to determine if you meet the required proficiency levels.

A Work Sample/narrative assessment will be used to determine whether you meet the required competency proficiency levels.
