As a Lead Technical Program Manager , you'll play a vital role in reducing risk and complexity across initiatives that span multiple teams. You'll partner with engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to support the delivery of complex change throughout the lifecycle in a product-led organisation. What the role involves Lead large-scale engineering programs from start to finish, partnering with the EM and PM to form a core team, manage feedback loops and scope, and deliver on time.

Partner with engineering teams, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align objectives and develop clear execution roadmaps. Communicate regular updates to stakeholders and manage expectations around programme progress and decisions. Identify and address risks and dependencies across projects before they impact programme goals or timelines. Enhance programme management practices, tools, and methods to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.

Mentor junior programme managers and engineering teams to build a collaborative, high-performing culture. Define and track KPIs for programme progress, quality, and timelines, reporting outcomes to senior leadership. Work with the VP of Engineering to iterate on how the area operates, covering areas such as delivery tracking, operational excellence, and workforce planning. What we are looking for 10+ years of experience in technical programme management, with a demonstrated track record of delivering multi-team technology programmes at scale.

Extensive experience partnering directly with software engineering teams, with mastery of project management fundamentals including scope, schedule, budget, quality management, and risk assessment. Strong technical acumen, with the ability to create and evaluate system-level technical designs. Thorough knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), product development lifecycle (PDLC), system design, and cloud architecture within a product-led microservice organisation.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, establish efficient processes, and manage complex release schedules. Track record of developing and implementing successful product and technical roadmaps. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing executive leadership and explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven record of leading and influencing outside of direct line management.

Knowledge of planning and tracking multiple teams in Jira. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
