LEAD WEAPONS SYSTEM PROJECT SPECIALIST

About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing operations, budgets, and acquisition project data to support the maintenance, installation, and obsolescence management of surface or undersea weapons systems.

Examples of qualifying experience may include: Leading and mentoring personnel in complex operational, shipboard, or DEPOT/Shipyard environments; Managing project budgets utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and implementing updates based on program office requirements; Managing Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), obsolescence, and Technical Refresh principles to ensure sustained system supportability; Overseeing operations for the installation, maintenance, or reclamation of surface ship and submarine combat or weapons systems (e.g., Sonar, Alteration Installation Team (AIT) execution); and Utilizing in-service engineering and integrated logistics support concepts to identify business process improvement strategies and resolve acquisition issues.
