About this role

Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

Qualifying specialized experience for includes: Experience writing newsletters, blogs, talking points, speeches and briefing papers for senior government leaders as a member of a communications or public affairs organization. Experience in presenting at conferences or large group meetings, in-person or virtually. Experience utilizing knowledge of Wage and Hour Laws and the Wage and Hour Division's program activities. Experience in engagement with the media in writing; such as formulating responses to queries, developing quotes from senior government leaders for comment requests, and developing, writing and editing press releases.
