Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Ensuring mail is assembled, addressed, sealed, and typed in accordance with regulations; (2) Advising customers on office mail procedures and policies; and (3) Performing mail processing procedures from receivables to distribution.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position requires frequent lifting and carrying of heavy packages, mail bags, and pouches weighing over 40 pounds. Work requires concentration and working with frequent changes in work priorities. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in an office or mail room environment and on loading docks or other areas exposed to the weather, and requires the use of protective clothing.
Works around moving trucks and mail equipment.
