Position: Management Accountant Contract: Part time, permanent - 3 days / 24 hours, per week Location: Reading / Hybrid Salary: £37,000- £40,000 FTE, dependent on experience Application Deadline: This is rolling recruitment, and the role may close early if a high number of applications are received. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in the finance team of a Charity-led group during an exciting phase of growth.
Reporting into the Finance & Operations Director, you will take ownership of delivering accurate, timely and insightful management reporting that supports operational performance and strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities across both companies will include: Managing month-end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations. Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts to agreed deadlines.
Working closely with colleagues across Finance and other business functions to gather, validate and interpret financial data. Supporting improvements to reporting processes, controls and governance. Preparing quarterly VAT returns. Supporting budgeting, cash flow planning and audits. Ad-hoc reporting as required by the Senior Leadership Team. Any other duties as reasonably required. Knowledge and Skills: Required: Experience of creating management accounts Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
Strong organisational and self-management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions. This role is advertised as three days per week, although we can consider a working pattern across four or five shorter days where this works for both the candidate and the organisation.
