About this role

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Management Analyst, as described below. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must clearly indicate the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such position.

Qualifying requirements for the GS-11 are as follows: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-09 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Examples of specialized experience are: Utilizing HR-related and/or procurement systems. Assisting managers and support staff with procurement and administrative services. Developing program-related tracking using Microsoft Excel and/or Access programs. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

OR A combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that provided the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Conducting a study of a work process to identify, analyze and recommend a solution to a staffing, administrative procedure, work process or budget problem. There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 level.
