Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which experience includes performing comprehensive manpower management by applying analytical, statistical, and management engineering techniques to analyze organizations, study manpower utilization, and develop manpower guides; conducting on-site manning and organizational studies, which include work measurement, time and motion studies, and operational audits in accordance with the Joint Manpower Program (JMP).
Experience in directing study teams, analyzing work processes, and advising senior leaders, up to the Combatant Commander, on optimal organizational structure and manpower allocation. Experience maintaining, and staffing the Joint Manpower Program, which demands continuous coordination with high-level personnel at the Joint Staff, military departments, and other defense agencies to adjust manpower requirements in response to unforeseen changes in mission, budget, and technology; and managing the Fourth-Estate Manpower Tracking System (FMTS), coordinating improvements, processing change requests for the Joint Staff, and performing quality control to maintain the command's official joint manpower database.
