SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following Experience leading the end-to-end underwriting, due diligence, and financial evaluation process for large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, including validating financial models and assessing project creditworthiness.
Experience leading high-stakes negotiations regarding terms, conditions, and agreements with external entities (e.g., project sponsors, C-suite executives, or legal counsel) and presenting finalized recommendations to senior-level investment committees or boards. Experience providing expert, actionable advice to senior leadership on project-related risks, including navigating complex legislative, policy, or national security considerations, to ensure project alignment with broader economic or strategic objectives.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
