SciTec has immediate opportunity for a Material Procurement Project Manager to lead procurement planning, material acquisition, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination in support of schedule-critical program execution across SciTec’s technical portfolios.
This role ensures timely purchasing of hardware, software, and infrastructure materials and plays a key part in maintaining momentum across engineering and development activities. Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycles for material purchases supporting engineering, development, and test teams. Coordinate with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, and Operations to identify project material needs early and maintain procurement schedules.
Develop, track, and maintain procurement plans, including long-lead items. Partner with vendors to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, compliance constraints, and contract terms. Ensure material purchases meet program requirements including TAA, GSA constraints, ITAR, and other federal compliance factors. Monitor material budgets, approve purchase requests, and track spend against ALIN/COTS allocations. Resolve procurement gaps that impact critical path schedules across programs.
Maintain accurate procurement documentation, purchase orders, and supplier performance tracking. Work closely with Finance and Contracts teams to support invoicing, renewals, and funding alignment. Support risk identification and mitigation related to supply chain delays or cost fluctuations. Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years experience in procurement, materials management, or project/program operations.
Experience with procurement supporting data centers, technical or engineering programs (software, hardware, infrastructure). Experience working with federal contractors or DoD programs. Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, long-lead procurement planning, and technical material purchasing. Strong vendor negotiation skills and familiarity with technical product sourcing. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
