About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of nuclear aircraft carrier mechanical design projects involving but not limited to aircraft and weapons elevators, ammunition and cargo handling equipment, cranes, aircraft Launch and Recovery systems, and steering systems.

Experience providing technical guidance on various mechanical and hydraulic equipment and systems through the mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of marine and mechanical engineering. Experience in nuclear propulsion plants cognizant compartments, systems and components, and secondary containment boundaries. Experience determining special equipment required to perform test and instruments needed to acquire operating data and the extent of testing to be performed based on the amount and type of work accomplished on equipment.

Experience evaluating and applying the latest developments and techniques in solving problems not readily treatable by traditional or accepted methods.
