Network Communications Specialist - Wide Area Networks

About this role

Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have at least three years of demonstrated experience managing Cisco networks. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. The candidate must be knowledgeable in technologies such as VPN, configuring IPSEC tunnels, and DHCP scopes. Remedy CTS experience is required Minimum of 3 years in specific experience with wide area network transport technologies Preferred Qualifications: Additional experience should include configuring, installing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers and switches during remote sessions.

Proficiency in network management, monitoring tools, and network routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, IEEE 802.x Ethernet) is essential. Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA) are highly desired. Work Environment: The successful candidate must be available for 24x7 on-call emergency support. Other official duties may be assigned as needed. Security Requirements: This position requires unescorted access to secure offsite locations which require an identification badge.

In order to be approved for the applicable badge, you must be a U.S. citizen. Continued employment is contingent upon satisfactorily completing a criminal history records check (or other applicable security clearance) and a pre-employment drug-test (pre-identified position only).
