Join SGS's Global Centre of Excellence for Biosafety Testing and play a key role in the future of biologics, vaccines, and cell & gene therapies. We're looking for an experienced NGS Team Leader to lead and grow our expanding sequencing laboratory as we launch innovative new biosafety testing services. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on scientific expertise with leadership, helping shape a cutting-edge laboratory supporting some of the world's most advanced medicines.

What you'll be doing: Lead day-to-day delivery of NGS testing services, ensuring quality, efficiency, and turnaround targets are achieved. Drive GMP compliance, quality systems, audits, investigations, CAPAs, and risk management activities. Oversee laboratory operations, equipment, facilities, and laboratory readiness. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of NGS workflows and processes. Develop, train, and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and laboratory staff.

What we're looking for: Degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline. Significant experience with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, GCLP, or similar). Strong knowledge of sequencing workflows, sample preparation, library construction, and data interpretation. Proven leadership experience managing laboratory teams, operations, and quality systems.
