About this role

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. 1. Plans the work to be done by determining scope and resources, sequence of operations, estimating of hours, timeframe of work, and coordination of the job's execution; 2. Determines if multiple trades or shops are involved and if the work is a series of simultaneous or sequential operations, and establishes estimated completion dates for each job segment to coincide with the mandatory completion date for the total job.

3. Prepares the job order specifications and determines what type and amount of materials will be required. 4. Initiate procurement of material required by job order specifications and decides whether on hand stocks are used, or whether material must be ordered; 5. Prepares costs and time estimates for; equipment, material, and manpower requirements for management on projects requiring special authorization. 6. Determines if tooling and templates are available must be manufactured and ensure that all pertinent technical data is on hand.
