ABOUT THE ROLE This is a rare opportunity to join a small, elite product team at a Series A/B AI-powered EdTech platform that reaches tens of millions of students across the globe. The company is going all-in on design craft and AI-native experiences — and this hire sits at the centre of that shift. You'll have direct access to C-level leadership, own entire product areas end-to-end, and ship work that lands in the hands of millions of students within days.

The platform operates in the EdTech / consumer mobile app space, offering AI tutoring, study notes, practice tests, flashcards, and homework tools to students in over 30 countries. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own complete product areas from conception through delivery — collaborating directly with C-level and engineering to ship to millions of users.

- Raise the bar on UI excellence and motion design, setting a new quality standard across everything students see, touch, and feel. - Build and scale a design system from the ground up — curated references, stellar components, sharp reviews — making quality easy to replicate at speed. - Pioneer AI-native design: develop AI-assisted workflows and AI-native product experiences that transform how the team researches, ideates, and ships.

- Set the reference point for the team — creating UIs students want to screenshot and details they feel but can't name. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required - A strong portfolio that demonstrates work which moved metrics and delighted users — portfolio quality matters more than years on the CV. - Several years of product design experience with the ability to guide more junior designers. - Proven ability to ship product designs end-to-end, from early concept through to production.

- Active, fluent use of AI tools across prototyping, research, and shipping — you see AI as a multiplier, not a novelty. - Systems thinker who cares about scaling quality across a product — code-first design systems, AI-powered design reviews, or whatever works at speed and scale. - Craft obsession: details are the design; you push back until the bar is raised. - Bias toward action — prototypes over presentations, experiments over endless debate.

- Builder mentality: comfortable getting hands dirty; bonus points if you've shipped a side project end-to-end or opened a merge request. - Team-first attitude with directness, no ego, and no territorial behaviour. Nice to Have - Background in consumer mobile app design (especially high-growth, high-engagement products). - Experience designing AI-native or AI-assisted product features. - Familiarity with EdTech, social learning, or consumer education products.

LOCATION & WORK ARRANGEMENT This role is based on-site in Berlin, Germany. Candidates must be able to work from the Berlin office. Visa sponsorship is not available — applicants must have the right to work in Germany.
