Remote
Product Engineer (Full-Stack / Agentic AI)
About this role
ABOUT THE ROLE A well-funded European PropTech company building an AI-native operating system for short-term and holiday rental management is looking for a Product Engineer to join a lean, high-impact team. You'll design and ship agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations — with humans in the loop. This is a central, full-ownership role: you'll modernise legacy systems, redesign data structures, and turn messy operational workflows into reliable, autonomous software.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own features end-to-end — from requirement gathering through to production-ready shipping. - Design and build agentic AI workflows covering guest communication (chat and voice), operational decisions, and property tasks. - Modernise legacy systems and redesign data structures to meet evolving product requirements. - Shadow real operational workflows to surface inefficiencies, hidden steps, and workarounds.
- Translate complex, messy processes into clean, scalable software. - Scope, ship, and iterate — driving solutions independently rather than working from a ticket queue. - Collaborate closely with internal teams to keep product and engineering aligned. - Operate with high agency and ownership, delivering results rapidly and safely. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - Demonstrable engineering experience you can show during the hiring process.
- Strong TypeScript skills — this is a firm requirement. - Proven ability to own features end-to-end: from gathering requirements to shipping production software. - Track record of shipping quickly with sound judgement about what can safely break. - Familiarity with React, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS; comfortable using Linear and Notion for tracking and documentation. - Comfort working in an agentic engineering style — e.g.
running multiple agents, parallel terminals, and AI coding assistants. - Strong product taste: attention to user experience down to messaging and interaction wording. - Ability to self-manage: plan work, communicate progress, and flag blockers proactively. - Fluent English and strong written/verbal communication skills. - Willingness to relocate to Germany and work from the Berlin office periodically. Nice to Have: - Founder mentality or prior startup founding experience.
- Background in PropTech, hospitality tech, or operational automation. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: €90,000 – €110,000 per year - Small, accountable team focused on outcomes over meetings - High-ownership, high-impact role at a Series A/B-stage startup LOCATION - Primary location: Leipzig, Saxony, Germany (on-site) - Occasional presence at the Berlin office also expected - Visa sponsorship: Not available — candidates must have existing authorisation to work in Germany
