About this role
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 09/01/2026. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07.
The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Minimum Qualifications GS-07: Specialized Experience: You must have one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to: evaluation and measurement techniques to determine compliance with rules and regulations established to evaluate program accomplishments; utilization of Microsoft Office software products (i.e.
word processing, email, presentations, spreadsheets, and databases) and proficient using the internet; interpreting and/or applying applicable laws, regulations, and policies which affect program success. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. to qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have successfully completed one (1) full year (52 weeks) of graduate level education.
(TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED). OR, Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.): is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average (GPA), or (3) honor society membership. Class standing - Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses. Grade-point average (G.P.A.) - Applicants must have a grade-point average of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.
Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society - Applicants can be considered eligible based on membership in one of the national scholastic honor societies listed by the Association of College Honor Societies. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED). OR, Combining Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have equivalent combinations of specialized experience and education beyond a bachelor's degree.

Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Evaluation of efficiency and effectiveness of a program within an organization; experience implementing policies and procedures as well as, ensuring the actions taken are coordinated through the proper channels of an organization; utilization of Microsoft Office software (i.e.
word processing, email, presentations, spreadsheets, and databases) and the internet; gathering and analyzing administrative principles, methods, practices and techniques, and modifying standard approaches to difficult and/or complex issues; presenting findings in various formats (i.e. charts, graphs, reports, spreadsheets); presenting project and/or study results both orally and written. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience.
To qualify based on education for this grade level, you must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or a LL.B or J.D., if related. (TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED). OR, Combining Education and Experience: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have equivalent combinations of specialized experience and education beyond the first year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education.
(TRANSCRIPTS REQUIRED). Preferred Experience: Leadership skills, strong communication skills, and ability to build coalitions. Physical Requirements: The work is mostly of a sedentary nature with some lifting of light boxes required. Work Environment: The work is performed in an office environment with adequate lighting and climate control, with no unusual risks or discomforts. Position may require occasional travel.
