About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or private sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate: Providing psychological consultations to law enforcement, intelligence, or forensic teams; applying structured threat assessment tools to evaluate behavioral risk; formulating threat management strategies for complex cases (e.g., workplace violence, terrorism); and communicating complex behavioral science findings to organizational leadership.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of seven years post-licensure experience in forensic psychology, threat assessment, and organizational consultation. Board certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology in either Forensic Psychology or Police and Public Safety Psychology. ATAP Certified Threat Manager (CTM) credential and/or active membership in relevant professional organizations. Formal training/certification in structured threat assessment tools (e.g., WAVR-21, HCR-20, CPIR).

Knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies, threat reporting systems, social media analysis, and digital footprint assessment. Demonstrated experience in violence risk assessment within institutional and organizational settings. Attention to Detail: Conscientious in analyzing complex case files and applying a strong ethical framework for handling sensitive intelligence.

Oral & Written Communication: Makes clear, convincing presentations to senior leadership; translates technical concepts into actionable operational guidance. Research and Analysis: Knowledge and application of the integration of science, theory, and clinical knowledge for the purpose of understanding, preventing, and relieving psychologically based distress or dysfunction and to promote subjective well-being and personal development.
