Purpose of the role Every recovery Zego does not pursue is a cost that ends up carried by good drivers. In 18 months, Zego will spot and pursue every valid recovery opportunity, with credit hire costs challenged properly and third parties held to account. You will own that caseload and build the specialism around it. What you will be doing Pursue subrogation and third party recoveries across a portfolio of motor claims cases.

Identify valid recovery prospects by reviewing claim files, liability decisions and supporting evidence, and act on them promptly. Negotiate cost effective settlements with third party insurers, solicitors and credit hire organisations, on behalf of Zego and our customers. Challenge credit hire costs robustly, so Zego and our customers are not overcharged. Keep recovery activity clearly documented and up to date across our claims management systems.

Keep customers informed where relevant, so they understand the recovery process and any impact on their claim. Escalate patterns and trends in recovery cases that point to wider operational or supplier issues. What you will need to be successful Insurance experience. Previous insurance experience, ideally within motor claims. Exposure to recovery and subrogation is an advantage, not a requirement. Confidence to challenge.

An eye for detail and the nerve to push back on third parties robustly but professionally. Clear communication. You are comfortable corresponding with insurers, solicitors and credit hire companies, in writing and over the phone. Caseload management. You can multitask, prioritise a varied caseload and manage your time in a fast paced environment. Full time availability. 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. You work AI-first.

You will use AI daily here, and we mean daily. You do not need to arrive an expert, but you do need to arrive curious, experiment fast, and take ownership of getting good quickly.
