QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-10: To be eligible for this position, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Experience determining the appropriate administrative disposition of correspondence, directives, and issues requiring management action and coordinates required follow-up activities.

Experience reviewing incoming directives, policy issuances, administrative documents, and action packages to identify required administrative actions and recommend appropriate disposition. Experience evaluating administrative procedures and office practices, identifying process deficiencies, and recommending procedural improvements to support office operations and administrative workflow. Experience serving as an administrative liaison by coordinating organizational communications, administrative activities, and office operations among management officials and organizational components.

Experience conducting administrative training sessions and providing guidance on office procedures and administrative requirements to support consistent administrative operations. Experience performing administrative support activities involving budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, budget recommendations, preparation of periodic and annual administrative reports, and related office management functions. Experience coordinating responses to urgent administrative matters, resolving administrative issues affecting office operations, and monitoring completion of assigned administrative actions.

AND TYPING PROFICIENCY: Applicants must be qualified typists with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute (based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors). Applicants may meet these requirements by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates by the Office of Personnel Management local office, or by self-certifying their proficiency.

Performance test results and certificates of proficiency are acceptable for three years. We may verify proficiency skills of self-certified applicants by administering the appropriate performance test. AND You must also meet the following requirement(s): TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT (TACA): By the closing date (or if this is an open continuous announcement, by the cut-off date) specified in this job announcement, current civilian employees must have completed at least 90 days of federal civilian service since their latest non-temporary appointment from a competitive referral certificate, known as time after competitive appointment.

For this requirement, a competitive appointment is one where you applied to and were appointed from an announcement open to "All US Citizens" TIME IN GRADE (TIG): For positions above the GS-05, applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the grade you are applying for. For positions at the GS-05, you cannot advance to the GS-05 if you have held a GS-02 in the past 52 weeks.
