About this role

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices; knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies; knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs; skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization; ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately; ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of a wide range of security specialties, concepts, principles, criteria, requirements, technology, and practices.

2. Knowledge of the intelligence enterprise to support and promote information sharing and strategies. 3. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, procedures, and practices to assist managers in establishing and operating internal security programs. 4. Skill in the use of analytical principles, practices, and techniques to review and evaluate security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the organization.

5. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. 6. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED: 1. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.

Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. 2. Position is designated Special-Sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

3. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification, Security Asset Protection Professional Certification and Physical Security Certification conferrals are required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.

This certification requirement only applies to employees hired onto this position on or after 14 March 2016. Incumbent employees assigned on or before 13 March 2016 are not required to obtain the DoD certification(s) listed above. 4. Emergency Essential: This position is Emergency Essential (E-E). In event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or a designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.

The incumbent or designated alternate, may be required to take part in readiness exercises. This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing capability of the organization to function effectively. This meets the criteria of an E-E position and requires that the incumbent, or the designated alternate, be removed from any military recall status. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
