Senior Account Executive

Munich

About this role

ABOUT THE ROLE A fast-growing, Series A/B-stage AI SaaS company in the industrial procurement space is looking for a driven Account Executive (junior to senior profile considered) to own the full sales cycle in Germany. Based on-site in Munich, you'll sell a platform that helps manufacturing and industrial companies transform procurement from a cost center into a strategic advantage — delivering measurable savings and efficiency gains for Heads of Procurement and C-level stakeholders.

You'll work alongside a strong prospecting team, contribute to shaping a high-performance sales organisation, and play a meaningful role in a company that is building critical AI infrastructure for European industry. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Qualify and close new B2B software customers across manufacturing and industrial verticals. - Manage the end-to-end sales process — from first meeting through demos, business case development, negotiations, and contract signature.

- Collaborate closely with a prospecting team to maintain and convert a qualified pipeline. - Build customer-specific sales strategies and develop long-term partnerships with key accounts. - Articulate ROI and quantify value by creating compelling business cases for procurement and C-level buyers. - Collect and relay customer feedback to inform product direction and roadmap. - Work cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success to continuously improve the sales motion.

- Contribute to building, documenting, and training a high-performance sales organisation. - Identify and experiment with AI-driven workflows to accelerate personal and team sales effectiveness. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Must-haves: - At least 1–2 years of closing experience in B2B software sales within an industrial or technical environment; senior candidates should bring 5+ years. - Fluent written and spoken German — this is a dealbreaker requirement.

- Proven experience managing the full sales cycle from initial qualification through contract closure. - Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and tracking sales metrics. - Ability to deliver product demonstrations and lead commercial negotiations confidently. - Data-driven mindset: comfortable building business cases to communicate value and ROI to customers. - Willingness and preference to work on-site in Munich and engage customers in person.

Nice-to-haves: - Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, or purchasing workflows. - Experience collaborating with an outbound/prospecting team (SDRs or BDRs). - Exposure to consultative or advisory selling methodologies in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. - Comfort operating in fast-paced startup or scaleup environments and contributing beyond your immediate remit. Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

LOCATION This is a fully on-site role based in Munich, Germany. Regular in-person customer engagement across Germany is expected. ABOUT THE COMPANY This company is a well-funded (Series A/B range), ~150-person AI scaleup headquartered in Munich, operating at the intersection of artificial intelligence, procurement intelligence, and industrial supply chain. Their platform unifies ERP and internal data with external market intelligence to power AI agents that identify savings, automate manual procurement tasks, and provide strategic insights — enabling procurement teams at manufacturing companies to operate as proactive business drivers rather than reactive cost centres.

The team brings experience from top-tier consulting, enterprise software, and technology organisations.
