Senior / Staff Product Designer

Munich

About this role

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a Senior/Staff Product Designer role on a small, tight-knit design team building AI-powered procurement software for industrial companies. You'll define how agentic AI capabilities surface for non-technical procurement professionals — making automation feel trustworthy, transparent, and genuinely useful. Clear, reliable design is what determines whether powerful AI features actually get adopted and deliver real value.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Define interaction patterns for agentic AI — from "the agent is working" to "here's what it found." - Design experiences where AI and human judgment collaborate naturally, not compete. - Produce short-horizon vision work (3–6 months) as prototypes and tangible artifacts to guide the team. - Raise product craft and coherence as engineering velocity and feature output increase. - Work directly in code for last-mile polish — checking out PRs and tweaking interactions before shipping.

- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to translate procurement complexity into usable experiences. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 5–10+ years of product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped work, ideally in B2B SaaS, complex workflows, or data-heavy products. - Broad capabilities across visual design, interaction design, product thinking, and prototyping — a generalist "block shape" rather than a single-specialty T-shape.

- Ability to prototype beyond Figma — building runnable prototypes that communicate intent and real behavior. - Comfortable working directly in code for last-mile polish (e.g., checking out PRs, tweaking interactions). - Thoughtful, considered opinions on how AI should appear in products — with a focus on trust, transparency, and appropriate automation. - At ease with ambiguity and capable of inventing new patterns for novel problems.

- Regular user of AI tools (e.g., generative AI assistants, AI-powered coding tools) as part of your research, ideation, and prototyping workflow. - Bonus: experience designing for non-technical users in complex B2B domains, or prior work with agentic or autonomous AI features. LOCATION On-site in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Visa sponsorship is not available.
