About this role

This announcement will be used to fill multiple Senior Strategy Advisor positions with specific subject matter expertise in (1) of the following (2) sectors: Critical Minerals or Energy & Power. Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement. You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your experience in all of the following: Experience preparing thorough, written documents for principal briefings and communicating and interacting with high-level officials; Experience monitoring and analyzing important sectoral, political, and/or economic events related to the [Critical Minerals or Energy & Power] sector; Experience conducting international business development and determining whether complex projects/investments [in Critical Minerals or Energy & Power sector] are financeable, executable, and durable; AND For the Critical Minerals Specialty: Experience supporting projects/investments in the critical minerals sector across mining, metals, or natural resources investing/operations.

OR For the Energy & Power Specialty: Experience supporting projects/investments in one or more energy sector areas (e.g., oil and gas production, energy generation, grid development). Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
