About this role

You may qualify at the NH-04 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes: Providing expert advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to small business utilization in government contracting. Developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive small business program to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and procurement policies.

Analyzing procurement data and acquisition forecasts to identify opportunities for small businesses, including small disadvantaged businesses, women-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and HUBZone firms. Serving as a liaison and advocate for the small business community, conducting outreach, training, and counseling sessions to foster their participation in the contracting process.

Reviewing and evaluating solicitations and contract actions to ensure small business considerations are properly addressed and goals are met. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
