Social Insurance Specialist (Congressional Program and Administrative Policy Analyst)

To qualify at the GS-13 level: applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, which is in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Such experience must include: Developing, examining, investigating, adjudicating, or authorizing claims for retirement or survivor insurance, disability insurance, pension programs, health insurance, income maintenance, or related programs; OR Experience in administration or analysis of retirement or survivor insurance, disability insurance, health insurance, income maintenance, pension, or related programs. This includes developing, reviewing, or analyzing these programs; OR Experience in operational, financial, or administrative related issues in support of government benefit programs, such as service delivery, digital identity and modernization, enumeration, budgeting, human resources, or data exchange.
In addition: eligible applicants MUST also demonstrate a general knowledge of the congressional or the legislative process and some experience in analyzing the impacts of legislation, regulations, or policy changes. NOTE: Your resume must specifically address the required experience and selective placement factor, supported by detailed documentation of duties performed in positions held including full start and end dates (day, month, and year).
