We are looking for a Staff Engineer, Cloud Foundations to lead the technical direction of a multi-cloud foundation that enables every engineering team to build securely, reliably and with clear cost visibility. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced technology and agricultural R&D, partnering with engineers, product leaders and scientific stakeholders on capabilities with real-world impact. What You'll Do Lead and apply deep expertise in multi-cloud architecture (AWS and GCP) to deliver durable, scalable outcomes that support organizational growth. Lead and apply deep expertise in organization-scale Terraform and infrastructure as code to deliver durable, scalable outcomes. Lead and apply deep expertise in cloud networking and governance to deliver durable, scalable outcomes. Lead and apply deep expertise in FinOps instrumentation and cloud economics to deliver durable, scalable outcomes.

Lead and apply deep expertise in AI-assisted engineering with rigorous review to deliver durable, scalable outcomes. Lead and apply deep expertise in technical leadership without line authority to deliver durable, scalable outcomes. Collaborate across engineering, product and scientific teams to translate complex needs into practical solutions. Set a high bar for quality, documentation and thoughtful use of AI-assisted engineering.

Mentor and develop engineering talent by sharing cloud architecture knowledge and best practices across teams. Establish and enforce cloud security standards, compliance frameworks and governance policies to protect organizational assets. Drive incident response protocols and reliability improvements to ensure high availability of cloud infrastructure. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance on cloud design decisions to ensure alignment with organizational standards.
