About this role

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Your license or registration must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing technical expertise, and regional interface for design, design review, construction, and rehabilitation of a diverse range of projects within the Civil Engineering Program; 2) Supervising a technical staff comprised of civilians, and mentoring employees in specific tasks, job techniques and processes; 3) Monitoring civil engineering and technical performance and provides input into training plans; 4) Coordinating the civil engineering design with other organizational elements and technical disciplines to ensure integration of architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection building systems; 5) Serving on an independent technical review teams, and quality assurance (QA) teams; 6) Providing technical direction consistent with Navy policy to Field Engineering Commands and Architect-Engineer firms (AE).
