SUPERVISORY ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER/PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST

Selective Placement Factor (SPF) for the Environmental Engineer (0819) series: If you are applying for this position as an Environmental Engineer, you must be currently registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. ***NOTE: A copy of your current license/registration showing the expiration date MUST be submitted with your application in order to be considered for this position.
A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement. In addition to the Basic Education Requirements and Selective Placement Factor (for 0189 series), your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing construction projects and operational/training programs in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act for compliance with environmental requirements and agency policy; 2) Overseeing the environmental compliance program for an organization and managing environmental compliance permits; 3) Managing environmental programs by planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating cost-effective solutions to meet requirements; 4) Assuring sound stewardship of natural, cultural, and historic resources; and 5) Coordinating with counterparts internally and externally, setting team priorities, and communicating priorities and short- and long-term objectives to senior leadership.
