SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating the following type of duties: 1) Performing and advising on multiple phases of budget administration, including the formulation, presentation, and defense of budget estimates before authorities, as well as the control and reporting of obligations and expenditures; 2) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative financial management methods, implementing legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets, and providing guidance on the effective and efficient use of funds to support organizational programs; 3) Developing and recommending changes to budget and funding plans for substantive agency programs, and devising new methods, techniques, and criteria where guidelines are general or scarce; and 4) Serving in a supervisory capacity to plan work, set priorities, assign tasks to subordinates, develop performance standards, evaluate employee performance, provide technical and administrative oversight, interview and recommend candidates for hire, resolve employee complaints, and take disciplinary action.

You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26. This is a Key Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) position and requires a DoD SCW Certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. SCW level required: I Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
