About this role

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing Federal financial legislation, regulations, reports, and/or policies; recommending corrective action to internal accounting procedures of financial management systems; leading accountants and other financial support personnel.

- Perform a variety of tasks in support of professional accounting to include establishing and maintaining reports for financial management activities in accordance with established accounting principles and policies. - Provide technical and administrative oversight, advice, and instruction. - Provide training to the accounting staff. - Assist in the professional development of subordinates. - Provide guidance and directions to command personnel as required under the accounting area of responsibility.

- Oversee the time keeping for civilian workforce. - Maintain accurate civilian pay records and proper recording of work hours. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
