Specialized Experience: The specialized experience requirements for this position are: Qualifying experience for GS-15 includes one year of specialized experience comparable to GS-14 which is directly related to the work of this position, and which has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. 1. Overseeing and leading day-to-day federal travel operations, including training junior staff, recommending corrective actions, providing expert guidance to senior leadership, and/or developing guidelines for preparing financial travel documents.

2. Developing and implementing management strategies, policies, procedures, and best practices that support efficient and compliant federal travel operations. 3. Assessing financial management information and operational requirements, recommending improvements, and monitoring the effectiveness of federal travel programs. 4. Demonstrating extensive subject matter expertise in Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and in the use of automated accounting systems, including travel and financial system interfaces.
