SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER/ARCHITECT
About this role
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has a Selective Placement Factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The Selective Placement Factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) if applying for the 0801 series. You must be a Registered Architect (RA) if applying for the 0808 series. Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing project and design management leadership, training, and mentoring in the area of Project and Design Management; 2) Planning and leading meetings and conferences required for execution of projects; 3) Collaborating with other engineering and architectural disciplines to review and advise on the development of execution plans and timely completion of all phases of the work within available funds and authorized scope; 4) Providing consultative services on project management issues and the entire range of architectural and engineering activities for facilities construction; 5) Providing guidance of facilities acquisition, as well as project funding authority levels and sources, contract requirements, contract documents, proposal and bidding procedures.
