About this role

NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Enlisted not to exceed SMSgt. Military grade inversion within the full-time work force is not permitted.

The military grade of the full time supervisor must equal or exceed the military grade of personnel supervised. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experiences gained through military or civilian technical training schools, within the human resources business programs, are included as general experience qualifications. An applicant must have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Specialized experience is experience that prepared the applicant to perform the duties of the position. The applicant's educational-degree study program or military or civilian academic courses may substitute for some specialized experience. An applicant must demonstrate the specialized experience competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities and behaviors) to qualify for a position identified by its position grade and career level.

Specialized experience factors encompass human resources program's business competencies, familiarity with the subject matter or processes used in human resources programs associated with DoD, U.S. Army, or U.S. Air Force. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training.

Skill to plan, direct, organize, and oversee programs, events and activities essential to mission accomplishment. Knowledge of all human resources and administration activities and support services for Airmen in the CSS/CCQ, including Administration, Military Personnel, Training, and Unit Deployment Manager positions. Skill in providing counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives related to military personnel management.

Skill in initiating action to correct performance or conduct problems. Skill in advising senior leadership within the organization and across the supported Wing on all military human resources matters impacting Airmen.
