SUPERVISORY INFORMATION SYSTEMS MANAGER
About this role
You may qualify at the GS-GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Providing policy, strategy, oversight, and supporting information technology for the development, coordination, review, dissemination, and approval of Joint Command and Control (C2) information systems; Serving as principal advisor to high-level management on all matters relating to Global Common Operational Picture (GCOP) policies, procedures and supporting Information Technology (IT), and expeditiously responding to challenges in maintain optimal technical reliability and functionality for all Global C2 systems); Participating in the publishing of annual C2 priorities list that includes requirements, priorities, and budgets for modification enhancements, technical corrections, and new initiatives relative to Common Operational Picture and Shared Situation Awareness (SSA) development efforts; Possessing a working knowledge of the National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, National Military Strategy, the Unified Command Plan and experience in drafting and staffing Instructions/Manuals.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies.
