For the GS-0819 Environmental Engineering Series Only: This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Registration as a Professional Engineer by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico is required. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR LICENSE WITH YOUR APPLICATION. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Leading or overseeing others in adherence to environmental programs, policies, guidelines, regulations, and compliance provisions; 2) Conducting site inspections and work practice evaluations to determine compliance with environmental laws and regulations for multi-media programs; 3) Preparing briefs, official correspondence, or information related to environmental projects and programs; 4) Planning work to be accomplished by others and setting overall environmental protection program goals and objectives; and 5) Utilizing planning, budgeting, and schedules to coordinate environmental compliance programs.
